How it works

From your shelf to your bank account, in four steps

No listings, no buyers messing you about, no fees taken off the top. Here is exactly what happens, and how long each part takes.

STEP 01About 5 minutes

Send us photos and a description

Fill in one short form. For each item you add a few photos, say what it is, pick a condition, and tell us anything you know about it.

You also give us your contact details and a rough idea of the parcel size. There is no need for any bank details to get a quote: we only ask for them if you accept our offer.

  • Shoot in daylight against a plain background.
  • Photograph the back, the base, and any hallmarks or serial numbers.
  • Show damage clearly — it saves a revised offer later.
STEP 02Usually 1–2 working days

We value it and email you an offer

A member of our team researches recent sale prices for your item, factors in condition and completeness, and sends you a firm figure by email.

If your photos leave something unclear, we will ask before quoting rather than guess low. The offer sits open for a week, and there is a button to accept or decline in one tap.

  • The offer is what we pay — not a starting point for haggling on arrival.
  • Declining costs nothing and closes the file immediately.
STEP 03Label within one working day

Accept, and post it free

To accept, you pack your items, then confirm the size and approximate weight of the parcel and tell us which bank account to pay. We then email you a prepaid, tracked postage label made for that parcel, usually within one working day. Print it, tape it to your parcel, and drop it off at a Post Office.

Your parcel is insured in transit up to the value of your offer, to a maximum of £2,500 — the usual limit for postal insurance. If your offer is worth more than that, a member of our team will be in touch to make arrangements before you send it. You can follow your parcel on the tracking page at any time.

Royal Mail’s guide to printing your label and packing your parcel

  • Ensure the package is properly packed to avoid damage in transit.
  • Pop a slip inside with your reference on it.
  • Keep your proof of postage.
STEP 04Same working day

We verify it and pay you

When your parcel arrives we email you to confirm that we have received it. A member of our team then checks it against your description — normally within one working day.

If it matches, we send the bank transfer straight away and email you confirmation. If something genuinely differs, we send you a revised offer with an explanation. Turn that down and we post the item back to you free of charge.

  • Transfers usually clear within hours.
  • You are never obliged to accept a revised offer.
