Items we don't usually buy
We rarely accept these items, either because they are fragile or because there's little value in everyday examples.
- Glass and ceramics
- Porcelain and china
- Everyday clothing
- Generic books and other literature
- Large furniture
- DVDs, CDs and VHS tapes
- Stationery, including plastic pens and biros
- Modern household electrical appliances
- Vinyl records
- Craft materials, such as buttons
If you have any of the items that we don't usually buy that are desirable or of significant value, we may still be interested. Examples of what we may accept are: a first edition, a rare pressing, a piece by a known maker, an item with documented history, desirable band albums.
Items that are in high demand
- Anything complete: original box, papers, receipts, certificates.
- Pre-1947 UK silver, gold sovereigns and bullion of any form.
- Sealed or graded trading cards, particularly vintage and modern chase cards.
- Vintage and modern toys, including Lego, 1980s–2000s nostalgia and action figures.
- Retro and modern video games, consoles and gaming memorabilia.
- New, unused and boxed stock.
- Named or documented militaria with a traceable history.
- Working electronics from the last five years, especially Apple.
- Job lots and end-of-line stock.
What we cannot take
Not a judgement on you — these are legal and practical limits on what we are able to handle.
- Anything you do not own outright, or that is stolen, on finance or subject to a dispute
- Firearms (including deactivated and imitation firearms), ammunition and explosives
- Knives, swords and other bladed items, unless we have agreed in writing to arrange their delivery
- Ivory and items made from protected species, unless legally exempt and documented
- Cultural objects that have been unlawfully excavated or removed
- Counterfeits, replicas presented as genuine, and counterfeit currency
- Hazardous, flammable or chemical items, and loose or damaged lithium batteries
- Perishables, and anything that is illegal to own or to send by post
